Our lovely reception children have recently been enjoying lots of different autumn activities inside and outside of the classroom.

Reading lots of autumn themed books has proved popular, in particular 'Pumpkin Soup' by Helen Cooper. The children found a hidden basket within the nature garden containing the story, a pumpkin and some utensils. The children then had fun exploring the pumpkin, digging out the seeds with their hands and using the utensils to pour and collect water.

They have also enjoyed making their own autumn themed crowns using real leaves which helped them with their careful counting.

The children will also be making pumpkin soup and doing some mindful tasting to see if they like it or not.
