September 2020 -COVID Information
It is with joy and optimism that we warmly welcome our West Rise children and their families back to school.
The staff team have worked together to create a beautiful entrance for you to enjoy and we are delighted to have you all here.
Thank you so much for working so closely with us to ensure that our site is as safe as possible and COVID compliant. Staggered starts are ensuring that there are less people on site at any time and keeping left and adhering to social distancing measures are all part of our robust risk assessments. Thank you for your support with this.
As you can see at drop off, there are sanitizing stations at all classroom doors, both on the inside and outside, and children are asked to sanitize on entry, as well as wash their hands thoroughly throughout the day.
Dedicated 'Catch it, bin it, kill it' bins are in place in every classroom and enhanced cleaning protocols are in place all across school,
Children are in their class bubbles throughout the day with their key members of staff. We have clear contingency plans in place in the case of a child or member of staff needing to self isolate, or in the case of a lockdown, and ask that you follow the guidance and contact 119 should you, your child or anyone in your household develop symptoms.
Please note: Children who are not poorly but who are needing to self isolate with their family at home will be provided with home learning by their class teacher. This will either be via the online learning programme 'Purple Mash' or practical activities set by the class teacher. If you have any problems accessing the learning set then please do get in contact.
Finally, thank you for all of the messages of support we have received about re-opening school - it means a lot. Together we can do this :)
